In December 2001, the Argentine crisis is about to explode. Felipe, a boy whose parents are separated, is 13 years old and lives with his mother, Clara, in Córdoba, while Diego, his father, lives in Buenos Aires. Seeing that they are immersed in the economic and political pressures of the country, Felipe feels misunderstood, constantly runs away from home and dreams of stopping being a child to be able to make his own decisions.
During the harshness of Buenos Aires summer, visiting his father’s, Felipe falls in love with Lucía, the girl next door, and recognizes in her his own story, forgetting for a moment his loneliness. However, the protective bubble that their parents had created for him is suddenly broken when social conflict and violence reach their homes. Tired of his parents not keeping their promises, Felipe takes the opportunity to escape again, this time with Lucía, leaving his innocence behind.
